Time to Hit Reset? Taking Stock of Your Career Wellness

We are in the midst of another holiday season, a time when so many us reflect on what this past year has brought us and where we want to go in the coming year. It is a popular time to make personal and family goals; perhaps you are determined to add to your family, save enough for a downpayment on a home, learn Italian, or finally take that much needed vacation. As you ponder all the variables in your life - your relationships, your health, your finances - and consider what changes you might want to make in 2015, do not forget one very important factor that is too often relegated to the back burner: your career. We all have several life roles, and the relative importance of each depends on who we are and what factors are most salient at that point in time. Whether or not you currently consider your career identity to be one of your most important life roles, the impact it has on you and your overall life satisfaction is significant.
